Meet the Principals
Donald S. Campbell | President, Chairman of the Board

With over three decades of successful business experience and a proven ability to develop innovative software, and innovative financial products, Don brings a unique set of skills to Detroit Trading Exchange in pursuit of the mission of broadening the market for internet generated leads and creating more efficient ways for exchanging these leads between sellers and buyers.
Don was the founder and President of Campbell Services, Inc., a software company that created the award winning OnTime group scheduling product. Campbell Services was sold in 1996 for $15,000,000.
In 2004, with Pete Bonner and John Campbell, Don founded the Detroit Trading Company to provide sales, acquisition and marketing services to internet lead sellers and buyers.
John W. Campbell | Senior Vice President, Board Member

John is a co-founder of Detroit Trading Company and brings ten years of experience in the automotive Internet leads business to the organization.
Prior to co-founding Detroit Trading Company John was Director of Affiliate Management at Car.com (a leading automotive consumer web site that was acquired by AutoByTel, Inc. in early 2004). John’s team was responsible for acquiring more than 150,000 automotive leads each month and building out wholesale distribution channels for those leads.
John lives in the Detroit area with his wife Michelle, daughter Rylie and son Jackson.
Pete Bonner | Senior Vice President, Board Member

Pete is a co-founder of Detroit Trading Company and brings well over a decade of experience in the automotive Internet leads business to the organization. Having been directly engaged in the Internet leads business since its infancy in 1995, Pete brings a deep knowledge base and proven sales ability to the table on both the wholesale and retail sides of the industry.
Prior to co-founding Detroit Trading Company Pete was one of the first five employees of Car.com. Pete served as Car.com’s Director of Dealer Group Sales and was responsible for the sale of leads and management thereafter of the Top 100 dealership groups in the United States including AutoNation, Inc., Hendrick Automotive Group, and Sonic Automotive Group.
Pete resides in the Detroit area with his wife Rebecca, son Patrick and daughter Lilla.
Mr. Anik Ganguly | Board Member
Mr. Ganguly is the Principal at GAIN Group, LLC, a firm which invests in and advises early-stage, technology-based ventures with high-growth potential.
With two decades of executive management experience within high-growth Enterprise Software companies, Mr. Ganguly brings great depth to the Board of Detroit Trading, particularly in the areas of product and organizational development, strategy, and technology.
He formerly served as Executive Vice President of Operations for OpenText, Inc. (NASDAQ:OTEX) which is a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management software solutions. Mr. Ganguly was responsible for all aspects of product strategy, product development and product management. He spearheaded OpenText’s growth from $22 million to over $400 million in sales.
Mr. Ganguly received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Calcutta University with High Honors, and his M.B.A. from University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he was on the Dean’s List. He continued his education in the areas of Strategy Formulation and Product Development at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan Business School) and Harvard Business School.
Dr. James Campbell | Board Member
Dr. Campbell is an Executive in Residence at InterWest Partners, a Menlo Park, CA based venture capital firm. He works with entrepreneurs in the Life Sciences field who are in the early stages of company formation.
Dr. Campbell has a long record of accomplishment in academic medicine and neuroscience research. He serves as Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Blaustein Pain Treatment Center at the School of Medicine at Johns Hopkins University, and in the past, served as Director of the Residency Training Program for the Department of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins.
He is the founder and chairman of the non-profit organization, the American Pain Foundation.
He has authored several books, published well over 100 peer-reviewed research papers and has served on the editorial board of several academic journals. Dr. Campbell has received many national awards for research and public service, including the Jacob Javits Neuroscience Investigator Award from the National Institutes of Health, and the Grass Award from the Society of Neurological Surgery. He also has received the Kerr Award for Research from the American Pain Society.
Dr. Campbell received his B.A. from the University of Michigan with High Honors and High Distinction, and his M.D. degree from Yale University. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at the Johns Hopkins University, and also pursued post-doctoral training in Neurophysiology in the Department of Physiology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Campbell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
